#04 – KALEIDOS LAUNCHES THE NETWORK FOR OPEN SCIENCE PROFESSIONALS ACROSS EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES
A community of mutual learning and exchange across European universities to advance Knowledge Valorization.
The KALEIDOS Project has launched the Network for Open Science Professionals, a community of mutual learning and exchange bringing together researchers, research managers and R&I advisors from across European universities to advance Knowledge Valorisation.
The network aims to create a shared space for collaboration and peer learning, where participants can exchange good practices, reflect on common challenges, and explore how Open Science approaches can be effectively implemented and embedded in different institutional and national contexts. A strong focus is placed on learning from real cases, adapting successful experiences, and co-creating recommendations to support wider adoption across Europe.
As part of its first activities, the network has already organised two community webinars, which explored key topics related to research and research management careers, competence development, Open Science practices and their role in strengthening Knowledge Valorisation strategies. These sessions marked the starting point of a structured exchange among professionals working at the intersection of research, management and innovation

The webinar series will continue with two additional sessions in the coming months, further expanding the community and deepening the discussion around skills, institutional change and cross-sector collaboration. Together, these four webinars form the first cycle of activities of the Network for Open Science Professionals and lay the foundations for longer-term engagement within KALEIDOS.
The network is open to researchers and research support professionals interested in:
- Sharing and learning from good practices on Knowledge Valorisation
- Identifying challenges and opportunities for implementing Open Science practices
- Exploring how successful cases can be transferred and adapted across contexts
- Co-creating recommendations to support institutional and systemic change
To receive updates on upcoming webinars, activities and opportunities within KALEIDOS, registration in the network is essential. Interested participants are invited to join the Network for Open Science Professionals by completing the registration form available here:
